Destination XL, a growing national retailer of big and tall men's apparel, has scheduled a ribbon-cutting ceremony and official grand opening today (Wednesday) at its new location in Roseville. 

The store will host its VIP event from 6 to 8 p.m. with the Roseville chamber of commerce participating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Destination XL is located at 2480 Fairview Ave. N.

Steve Carolan, Roseville Destination XL manager, said the store has made a special outreach to its online customers to come and see the new quarters,  although the event is also open to the public.

The men's merchant, a part of Massachusetts-based Casual Male Retail Group Inc., is located at Rosedale Commons, a retail center just north of Rosedale Center. It launched a soft opening in mid-August.

The arrival of Destination XL is among several new players appearing at Rosedale Commons, which has gotten a facelift in the last year. Among its new tenants are Bed Bath & Beyond, Old Navy and The Vitamin Shoppe.
