Gavel Association To Honor Eight Great Volunteer Leaders

Deadline Wednesday to sign-up for May 15 banquet.

The North Suburban Gavel Association next week will honor eight local people for their service to the community at the group's 34th annual Volunteer Leadership Dinner.

This year's honorees, according to Gavel spokeswoman Nancy Robbins, are:

  • Mike Bagstad – nominated by the Roseville Visitors Association
  • Bob and Lona Doolan – nominated by past recipient Bill Sauer
  • Bill Farmer – nominated by past recipient Monte S. Johnson
  • Jerry Kyser – nominated by past recipient Don Salverda
  • Ron Linebarger – nominated by current member Beth Salzl
  • LaMar Zollinger – nominated by past recipient Bruce Robb, N.S. Golden K Kiwanis Club
  • MacKenzie (Mack) Johnson – nominated by past recipient Lonnie Brokke, Roseville Parks & Recreation

Robbins said the check-in for the leadership dinner is 5:45 p.m. May 15 followed by the welcome at 6 p.m. The awards program begin at 7 p.m. The banquet and program will be held at the Roseville Skating Center, 2661 Civic Center Drive.

Reservations for the dinner ($25 per person)  need to be received by Wednesday ( May 8) by Roseville Parks and Recreation.

The organization is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding.
