I'm glad Cost Plus has returned; they have interesting, unique items, and it fills a big gap in the commercial real estate market.
But it's without their liquor store. And it remains to be seen if City Council can find the inclination and wherewithal to solve the problem of our liquor license dilemma. It needs to be solved soon, and it needs to be solved in a way that opens the market for future retailers. The Council rolled out the red carpet for Walmart. If we're as pro-business and free market as we claim to be, let's put our money where are mouth is, and get this done. And get it done right.
