Rep. Jason Isaacson Sponsoring Bill to Combat Homelessness
The first-term DFLer will speak this morning at a press conference about his legislation while other speakers talk about the extent of homelessness in Minnesota.
State Rep. Jason Isaacson is scheduled to speak at a press conference this morning (Thursday) about his leglslation aimed at combating homelessness in Minnesota.
Isaacson, a first-term DFLer from Shoreview, is representative for District 42B, which includes that part of Roseville north of County Road C and east of Snelling Avenue. He is chief sponsor of a bill l (HF1194) that would invest an additional $25 million in housing and homeless programs. The bill is part of a $50 million package, according to Isaacson's press representative.
According to a press release, Isaacson will join the 'Homes for All' organization to highlight legislation addressing rising family homelessness and workforce housing shortages.

The press conference is scheduled for 11 a.m. today (March 7) in Room 125 at the state Capitol. Other scheduled speakers include: Michelle Gerrard and Greg Owen, research managers at Wilder Research, who will present new 2012 Homelessness in Minnesota data.
