With spring and then summer not too far down the road, the Roseville Public Works Department will be gearing up for a handful of street projects.
Duane Schwartz, city public works director, told Roseville Patch the following is what is scheduled for 2013:
County Road D (Lexington Ave. to Victoria St.) jointly funded MSA (municipal state aid ) project with the City of Shoreview. Roseville cost: about $1.4 million.
Mill and Overlay
This where either the city mills, or removes, a layer of asphalt off a thick pavement and placing a new 1-3 inch asphalt surface on it or recycling the entire asphalt layer and placing a new asphalt surface.
Iona Lane (Dale St. to Western Avenue)
Grandview Ave (St. Albans St. to cul de sac)
Lovell Ave (Grotto St to Dale St)
Cope Ave (Grotto St to Dale St )
Fry St. (Skillman Ave. to Co Rd B)
Commerce St. (Snelling Service Dr. to Albert St.)
Dellwood Ave. (Roselawn Ave. to Co Rd B)
"The preliminary estimate for the mill and overlay projects is $600,000," Schwartz said. "The mill and overlay projects are paid out of existing street infrastructure funds."
