Roseville Middle Schooler Wins Tubman Contest

Roseville Area Middle School eighth grader Akedia Merrill recently won the Tubman Center's third Annual Healthy Teen Relationship Video and Poster Contest for promoting the prevention of domestic violence.  

Merrill wrote a rap about domestic violence for her Teen Issues class and it was then submitted to Tubman. Besides winning the title and a cash prize, Akedia was asked by the Tubman organization to perform her rap at its annual Spring Soiree fundraiser.
