Roseville Raiders Football Team Blanked by Lakeville North

End of the road for Roseville High in bid to reach state High School League playoffs.

The Roseville High School football team, first-round winners against White Bear Lake a week ago, ran into a brick wall Friday night (Nov. 2).

Lakeville North crushed the Raiders 42-0. The Panthers' resounding home-field win means they have qualified for a berth in the 2012 Class 6A State Tournament at the Metrodome.

Lakeville North, now 9-1, will face a yet to be determined opponent next Thursday or Friday.

The Raiders finished strong at the end of the season as they usually have under Coach Simdorn. However, I think the Raiders should be in Class 5A, not the new 6A.
