Roseville Superintendent John Thein Honored

Administrators association names Thein for excellence.

The Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA) has named  Roseville Schools Superintendent John Thein as Administrator of Excellence for the Twin Cities metro region.

At a recognition ceremony earlier this month in Bloomington, the association cited Thein for his leadership, concern for students, and active involvement in professional and community affairs.
"Thein’s achievements reflect his ability to lead important changes in the educational system," the association said in a press statement. "He has served as the superintendent for the Roseville Schools since 1998, working to provide the best possible educational programs for students."

An active MASA member for more than 24 years, Thein has served on the MASA Board of Directors, multiple MASA committees and the MASA Foundation Board of Directors.
Besides his educational career, Thein is a member of the Roseville Community Fund Board, the Central Park Foundation Board and treasurer of the Association of Metropolitian School Districts Board.
Thein has a bachelor’s degree from Mayville State, a master’s degree from Tri-State University and his doctorate from the University of St. Thomas.
