Vision For Vacancy: What Should Replace Coffee Shop?
The space was most recently home to Cafe Zia, which was voted best coffee shop in Roseville.
Cafe Zia, voted earlier this year in a Patch contest as Best Coffee Shop in Roseville, shuttered its doors this past fall, the result of owner Sue Solem deciding to retire.
That means there is a vacant space in the little strip center, which is about a block north of City Hall off of Lexington Avenue and whose tenants include a gas station and the Roseville License Center.
So, what would you like to see in Cafe Zia's former space? Another coffee shop? A sitdown restaurant? Or some other business? Share your suggestions in the comments section below.

since there is a city park behind the shopping center, it is across the street from the city campus, and the city's passport office and license center are in the strip mall, the city should buy the strip mall and turn the strip mall into the long awaited city's community center. the school district might even lease some of the space for a new senior center and aquatics center for students and the public, and to move the space the district now rents at har mar to this location. who knows, the city might even make money off of the site!
