With Rosefest, Roseville's summer festival, in full swing; a hidden golden medallion in one of the city's parks awaits to be a discovered by a resourceful treasure hunter.
The city Parks and Recreation Department released the first daily medallion clue on Tuesday (June 26), the second one today (Wednesday) with more on the way. The clues are designed "to help you navigate your way to the hidden treasure,'' with a prize basket of gifts awaiting the medallion finder, said Jill Anfang, Parks and Recreation assistant director.
Visit local businesses for printed clues or check for daily clues online at cityofroseville.com/parks and at Roseville Patch. Anfang noted:

How to get started
1.Six possible rhyming clues will lead you to the hidden medallion.
2. The medallion is hidden on public property in Roseville -- in one of Roseville's 30 parks!
The medallion is NOT located at Cedarholm Golf Course, Muriel Sahlin Arboretum, Harriet Alexander Nature Center or the Roseville Skating Center.
3. Clues available daily (June 27 - July 1) at 10 a.m.from participating sponsors and at 11 a.m. from Roseville Parks and Recreation offices or online
Anfang said the prize basket for the found medallion includes gifts and gifts cards from a variety of Roseville area businesses. Initial value of the prize package is $500. The prize package value doubles to $1,000 if medallion finders have a registered Rosefest button.
Prize packages include gifts from, among others: Genisys Credit Union, Courtyard/Residence Inn by Marriott, Rosedale Center, Famous Dave's and Dunn Bros.
