It is hard to find a person these days who doesn't have at least one tattoo.  Males, females, teenagers—they all seem to have some kind of ink. Small stars, crosses, butterflies, tribal, oriental, in memoriam, there are so many to choose from. Then once you choose your tattoo, or design, where do you put it? Do you pick your shoulder? Your back? So many decisions to make.  So Patch wants you to post photos of your favorite tattoo(s). We want to hear why you picked the tattoo you chose and its meaning to you. Roseville Area High School Play Explores "Whiteness"

This weekend, Roseville Area High School students will put on performances of a play about white culture.

This weekend, Roseville Area High School students are putting on a play about white culture called "Blanchekreist: A Collaborative Project about Whiteness," according to a Pioneer Press article by Sarah Horner. From the article: The play is the culmination of months of research, dialogue and reflection a group of high school students engaged in under the guidance of Roseville's drama and English teacher Samuel Tanner about what it means to be white. Fire Up! Pottery Demonstration Today at Muriel Sahlin Arboretum

"Pottery in the Park" features community Raku Firing,

  A special "Pottery in the Park", a community Raku Firing, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today (Saturday) at the Muriel Sahlin Arboretum at Roseville's Central Park.  Rain or shine, pottery professional and amateurs alike are invited to the event, which is being sponsored by the Roseville Area Arts Council. The Arboretum is located at 2555 Dale St. between County Road B-2 and C. "Raku is a Japanese pottery firing technique that has been adapted for western culture," according to the city website. "Glazed pots are removed from the kiln while still hot, placed in a bed of sawdust and covered in airtight containers. When cooled, pots are bathed in cold water and scrubbed. New Thriller Movie Has Roseville Connections

Some scenes from "Profile of a Killer" were shot in Roseville and St. Paui. The film is being shown at Marcus Oakdale Cinema theatres.

  The new independent film “Profile Of A Killer,”  which is currently playing in two local theaters, has some Twin Cities connections you can see if you look closely.  Held over for the second week at the Marcus Oakdale and Hastings theaters, "Profile of a Killer" includes some scenes shot in Roseville and St. Paul, according to Greg Reid, father of Jasmine Reid, producer of the psychological thriller. Reid, of Roseville, said that the local scenes include footage from his home and garage and stretches along Highway 61.  He added the movie also includes local actors and film production workers.  "It's kind of exciting," Reid about how the movie production touched the Roseville and St. Paul area.  The film runs about an hour and a half; it …

Roseville String Ensemble Presents Free Concert Sunday Afternoon

Performers include Minnesota Orchestra violinist Aaron Janse, who will perform Tartini's "Devil's Trill."

The Roseville String Ensemble will present a free spring concert, "String Magic," at 3:30 p.m. Sunday April 21 at Concordia Academy, 2400 N. Dale St., Roseville. Linda Owen, co-founder and president-elect of the String Ensemble, told Roseville Patch the concert will be one of the group's most varied and  far-ranging shows with "truly something for everyone!" Featured artists include Minnesota Orchestra violinist Aaron Janse, who will perform Tartini's "Devil's Trill," and elementary school orchestra students from the Mounds View Schools.
