Family Activities: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Refreshments, crafts, entertainment and, of course, your summer reading materials will all be available. Enjoy a visit from the Roseville Fire Department and Gibbs Farm, crafts with Abrakadoodle and a storytime with Half-Pint Horses. Don't forget your camera for photo-ops with Minnesota author Debra Frasier's Alphabet Fair!
Teens: 2 - 4 p.m.
Hang out in the teen room all afternoon with a live DJ and gaming!
Pro Wrestling in the Library: 7 - 9 p.m.
Twelve wrestlers, six matches, a ring and an announcer are bringing the smackdown to your library. Join us as we kick off the Teen Summer Reading Program with the help of the Upper Midwest Professional Wrestlers. Open for all ages, the event will include Summer Reading Program information and refreshments.
This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ramsey County Libraries, Culver’s Family Restaurants and Waterpark of America.
The Summer Reading Program is designed to inspire and encourage children of all ages to read as much as they want throughout the summer. This year’s program, Bookawocky, runs from June 9 through August 12.
More About Ramsey County Suburban Libraries
The recently remodeled Ramsey County Library is an impressive, modern, airy two-story building that can be found along Hamline, just north of County Road B. The first floor is mostly magazines, kids books, and teen lit as well as DVDs and CDs. It also includes a large computer lab. The second floor has more computers as well as an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books. The library also includes limited seating for people who'd like to read a little of a book before deciding if they want to check it out.
