FREE Electronics Recycling Event in Roseville

On Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 9:00am-1:00pm, Girl Scout Troop 51629 will host a Tech Dump electronics collection event as a fundraiser for an upcoming trip abroad. The troop will accept unwanted electronics (gently used, obsolete, or damaged) at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (located at 2561 Victoria St North in Roseville, MN).

Bring computers, cell phones, electrical cords, internal/external drives, other misc. electronic accessories, TVs, and monitors ($10-donation requested for CRT TVs and monitors—non-flat panels). Tech Dump will destroy all personal information and data at their recycling facility in Golden Valley.

All computers and electronic devices will be sanitized of personal information and data. Tech Dump is a Minnesota and Hennepin County licensed electronics recycler (MPCA ID # MNS000167288).  To find out more and for a list of accepted items, visit their website at techdump.org/troop-51629.

Event coordinator, Julie Lentz shared "I am a leader for a 9th grade troop, and I thought a Tech Dump collection event would make a great partnership between the church, the scouts, and the community.  The church hosts the event, the scouts advertise & work the event, and the community comes forth with the electronics.  We are all stewards of the earth, and the girls are also fundraising for a trip abroad.”
