Dayton Names Tammy Pust Chief Administrative Law Judge

Pust is a Roseville resident and former City Council member

Gov. Mark Dayton today (Friday) announced he has appointed Tammy Pust as Chief Administrative Law Judge for the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings.

Pust, of Roseville, replaces lacing the Honorable Raymond R. Krause, who is resigning on May 3. 
“Tammy Pust’s extensive legal experience in state government and her outstanding commitment to public service have made her uniquely qualified to serve as Chief Administrative Law Judge,” Dayton said in a press statement.  “I am confident, based on her qualifications, that Ms. Pust will serve the state with excellence in this new role.”
Currently, Pust is the  Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at the Minnesota Department of Education. Previously, she was a trial partner at the Parker Rosen law firm, conducting neutral fact-finding investigations for the State of Minnesota, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and private employers.

Pust's legal background also includes partner at the law firm of Jesson & Pust, P.A. and a former Assistant Attorney General, where she served as the Policy Director for Children and Families.

Pust is also a former member of the Roseville City Council. She did not seek re-election last year, thus ending her service at the end of her four-year term.

The Office of Administrative Hearings is an independent tribunal within the executive branch. Its duties include  conducting administrative law hearings for most state agencies and overseeing state agency rulemaking.
