Harriet Alexander Nature Center Open House is Sunday

The Nature Center's annual event is from 1 to 4 p.m. Come learn about snake biology.

Editor's note: The following announcement was submitted by Nancy Robbins, Nature Center publicity committee volunteer:

The Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) in Roseville will hold its annual Open House from 1 to 4 p.m.  Sunday (Feb.10).

This year we’re celebrating the Chinese New Year of the Snake. Come learn more about snake biology and our two resident snakes, play a snake trivia game, listen to some snake stories, make a snake craft!

If you're not so crazy about snakes, then you can spend more of your time learning about the Chinese New Year traditions and enjoy some traditional treats. If this is your first visit to HANC, it's a great chance to also explore the nature center's other exhibits and program offerings.

The HANC Open House is held on the same day as the annual open house at our parking lot neighbor, the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. It's an only-once-a-year opportunity to peek behind the scenes at this very busy animal "hospital."
