Construction Underway for Best Buy Mobile Specialty Store

The new, smaller store is set to open later next month.

Construction is underway for a Best Buy Co. Mobile Specialty store in Roseville.

Located at HarMar Mall, 2100 N. Snelling Ave., Roseville; the new format Best Buy store will offer cell phones and plans, and mobile devices including tablets, eReaders, MP3 products and related accessories, the Richfield-based consumer electronics retailer said in a news release this month.

The Roseville store's debut is scheduled for Nov. 21, which will make it Best Buy's 400th Mobile Specialty shop. It is one of seven new Mobille Specialty store slated to open over the next two months in the Twin Cities.

The new Best Buy Mobile stores,which average 1,800 square feet, will be staffed by non-commissioned employees, including Geek Squad service and repair technicians, the company said. Best Buy said the trained employees are dedicated to providing impartial information to help customers find the best mobile phone and plans to meet their needs.

Currently, there are nine Best Buy Mobile stores in Minnesota including ones at the Burnsville Center in Burnsville, Eden Prairie Center in Eden Prairie and Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka. Here is the schedule for the new Mobile store openings:

Best Buy's plans for the new Mobile Specilaty store comes on the heels of it recently remodeling some of its regular big-box stores, including its Roseville location. 

The company in August celebrated the remodeling of  Best Buy store in Roseville. The makeover of that 45,000 square-foot big box, 1643 County Road B2, included lowering the height of department shelving and incorporating new stores-with-in-a store-Magnolia Design Center and Pacific Sales bath and kitchen.
