Halloween Activities Today in Roseville

From haunted forests to indoor trick or treating at the malls, there is a variety of fun things to do on the spookiest day of the year.

Whether it's braving a haunted forest or going trick or treating at a local mall, a variety of Halloween activities are taking place today in Roseville.

Here is a sample of some of the fun things on the calendar:

Haunted Forest

Tracy Moore and her partner Renee Pardeloo are hosting their fifth annual "Haunted Forest" at 394 McCarrons Blvd. in Roseville from about 5 to 10 p.m. today (Wednesday), according to the Roseville Review.

Moore's and Pardeloo's interactive, free "Haunted Forest" is being in staged with help from Roseville High School's anime club and the FireBears Robotics team.

Trick or Treating at the malls

Merchants at HarMar Mall, 2100 Snelling Ave. N. , are hositing a weather-free, safe Halloween from 6 to 8 p.m. Kids dressed in costuimes can visit for special Halloween treats.

Meanwhile, to the northwest, the regional Rosedale Center is also hosting free trick or treating for kids. More than 50 merchants are participating (look for signs in their store windows) from 5 to 7 p.m. in the free treats. The mall is just north of Highway 36 between Fairview and Snelling avenues.

Free meals for kids

which has a fast-food restaurant at HarMar Mall, is offering free meals to kids ages 12 and under when they are accompanied by an adult who pays for any entree. Kids in their Halloween costumes will also receive a special trick or treat item, according to the restaurant. The promotion runs from 11 a.m to 9 p.m. 

Patch Halloween Contest Worth $5,000 to Grand Prize Winner

As long as you are out chaperoning your kids for neighborhood Halloween trick-or-treating, why not snap a picture of them and enter the Patch National Halloween Costume Contest? Halloween Fundraiser

Chipotle Mexican Grill will hold its popular Halloween fundraiser, Boorito. Today, the fast-food restaurant chain will treat customers dressed in costume to a burrito, bowl, salad, or order of tacos for only $2 between the hours of 4 p.m. and closing. Proceeds from the fundraiser, up to $1 million, will benefit the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation.

Proceeds are used to "support farmers and organizations that make sustainable and humanely raised food possible," the company said. Chipotle has a location at Rosedale Center. 

Participants in this year’s fundraiser are also invited to enter the Chipotle Costume Contest for a chance to win $2,500 and other prizes. For more information and contest rules, visit chipotle.com/boorito.

Pet Halloween Costume Contest-Chuck & Don's Pet Food Outlet 

Twin Cities-based Chuck & Don's Pet Food Outlet, which has a store in Roseville, is holding its annual Halloween pet costume contest. 

The company says: "Submit a digital photo of your pet in costume to our Halloween contest on our Facebook page for a chance to win one of five Chuck & Don's Gift Cards. No purchase necessary. Download contest rules as a PDF.

Photos can be submitted up through 11:59 p.m. CST today (Oct. 31). Voting is currently open and will conclude at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.

Winners will be announced by Friday, Nov.9 on Chuck & Don's website and on Chuck & Don's Facebook page."
