Massage Xcape Owner Hopes to Franchise His Shop Concept

Massage Xcape, the newest shop at Roseville's Lexington Plaza Shoppes, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony today (Thursday) with its owner expressing hope to  soon franchise his new store concept.

"It is a just a great feeling to be here," Massage Xcape owner Sam Beard said during the grand-opening ceremony.

Beard; who also owns other businesses, including a Chem-Dry carpet-cleaning franchise; said Massage Xcape is meant to have a cozy atmosphere in offering a massage therapy.

Beard said his new shop has been open since early December and has done well, attracting some 200 customers. If the business continues to do well, Beard said he would like to open at least five shops in the Twin Cities and use the metro as a base to build the buiness into a franchise operation.

Beard said he envisions offering Massage Xcape franchises for around $30,000, a fraction of the cost of some larger competitors in the field.

The new shop, 1767 Lexington Ave., is about 1,400 square feet. It is offering grand opening specials, promotions and raffle options Thursday through Sunday, Jan. 20, according to officials at Paster Enterprises, the owner and manager of Lexington Plaza Shoppes.

Grand-opening specials include; 15 minute chair massages $10, 90 minute massages for $59.99 and a raffle at $5.00 per ticket for a chance to win a free six month membership.Massage Xcape will offer a variety of massage services from relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, hot stone massage and more, Paster officials said in a news release.

Some of the benefits of massage therapy include increased circulation and flexibility, better sleep quality, more energy, improved concentration and reduced sress and fatigue, according to Paster officials.
