Roseville Business Exec Sees Market Rebounding

Leasing activity picks up for Roseville Property Management.

A top executive with a Roseville property leasing firm said he believes the worst of the Twin Cities economic troubles “are behind us” and the commercial real estate market is picking up.

Chad Commers, vice-president of Roseville Properties Management Company., said his firm has leased out about 100,000 square feet of industrial and retail office space in the first six months of this year, a rebound from a couple years ago when business was nearly at a standstill.

Roseville Property Management Company is one of the Twin Cities’ largest property owners and leasing firms with more than 2.5 million square feet under its wing. The company’s portfolio includes about 15 buildings in Roseville, Commers said.

Commers offered his comments Tuesday at the monthly meeting of the Roseville Business Council of the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce.  He noted that retailers REI and Schneiderman's Furniture Store, both 1955 County Road B2 Roseville., are among his company’s tenants that have recently renewed long-term leases in Roseville.

Meanwhile, Hunter Douglas, a maker of blinds and other products, took space last month at Business Commons I, 2663 Patton Road,  for an office showroom, Commers said.

“I think there are a lot of positives,” Commers said. “We have not seen any  (tenant) company shutter their doors in the last six months. “

Founded in 1978, Roseville Property Management Company counts large corporations  and companies that need 5,000 to 10,000 square feet' among its clients, Commers said,
