If you think the Office Depot store in Roseville seems smaller than it used to be, well....you're right.
Earlier this month, the office supply retailer finished remodeling its Roseville store, 1615 W. County Road C, downsizing from 30,000 square feet to 18,000 square feet.
The store's general manager Kathy Sherer told Roseville Patch Wednesday the company achieved the smaller footprint by "pretty much getting rid of our stockroom. We had a lot of excess space for deliveries."
The smaller store "makes it more convenient for customers to shop," Office Depot officials said in a press statement.
Another part of the store's facelift is new signage which is designed to make shopping easier and simpler to navigate, company officials added. The store also has enlarged its copying and printing department, Sherer said.
The company said, "All of the technology products are located on the left side of the store, and supplies are showcased on the right side. The furniture pad has moved to the back of the store, and the cashiers can be found in the front."
So far, customers have really embraced the remodeled store, Sherer said. "We've had a lot of positive comments from customers," she said.
The Roseville Office Depot Store employs about 20 associates. It houses nearly 9,800 products – everything from furniture and office supplies to technology, including a Tech Depot consultation table for helping customers with all of their technology needs, and a Copy & Print Depot, company officials said.
Store hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. The store's phone number is 651-631-2020.
