The National Retail Federation estimates that up to 147 million people plan to shop Black Friday weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

The breakdown: 71 million said they would shop and another 76 million said they would wait and see what retailers have in-store for the weekend according to a preliminary survey, the retail trade association said.

In Roseville, scores of people were among the early-bird Black Friday shoppers as they braved the cold awaiting the opening of such major retailers like Target, Best Buy and Kohl's.
