Vinyl Art Works of Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg At Tomodachi Charity Fundraiser

Vinyl art show set to open Friday at pop art and designer toy shop at Rosedale Center.

A few vinyl art works done by Hollywood celebrities Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg will be part of the "We Love Vinyl Too" exhibit scheduled to open  Friday night  (Nov. 30) at the Tomodachi store at Rosedale Center.

The exhibit, which will kick off with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, is intended to promote modern art for charity. The exhibit will feature more than 20 diverse artists and is scheduled to run through Dec. 7 at Tomodachi, a pop art and designer toy shop.

The Friday night reception will include refreshments, raffle prizes, interactive live painting and a silent auction for a selection of pieces.

"In light of the Hurricane Sandy disaster on the east coast, all proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Red Cross for relief efforts," event oroganizers said in a press statement. "Individual profits will also be donated to the International Child Art Foundation, whose mission is to encourage creativity and good leadership qualities in children."
