What's Ahead for Roseville in 2013: Expansion of Applewood Pointe Senior Housing

United Properties anticipates an October completion.

Construction is under way for phase II of the Applewood Pointe of Roseville at Langton Lake senior co-op housing project.

United Properties, the project's developer, is adding 41 more co-op homes to Applewood Pointe's existing 48 units, which opened in September, 2011, according to Alex Hall, company vice-president of development. The phase II project will tie into the west end of the existing Applewood Pointe building, he said.

Construction for phase II  began late last year and is expected to be completed this Octotber.

Hall said United Properties has already sold  37 of the 41 new co-op homes. "This is a product that the senior population is really embracing," Hall said.

The new co-op units will range from 1,255 to 1,780 square feet with the biggest units including two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a den, Hall said. Prices will range from about $252,000 to $357,000.

Another United Properties' senior project, Cherrywood Pointe of Roseville, opened last September and is just west of Applewood Pointe. Cherrywood has 80 units including an independent living, assisted living and personalized memory care units.
