Where To Watch the Vikings-Packers Game in Roseville

Joe Senser's Sports Grill & Bar in Roseville expects the house to be rocking Saturday night for the NFL wild card playoff game.

When the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers face off tonight (Saturday) at Lambeau Field in the NFL playoffs, it will be a huge game for both teams _ and for a number of Roseville restaurants/bars too.

For Joe Senser's Sports Grill & Bar (the eatery and drinking establishment is owned and named after the popular former Minnesota Viking), it doesn't get much better than this.

Look for the popular sports bar to be packed to its 380-seat capacity. Last Sunday, when the Vikings faced off in their final regular season game against the Pack at the Metrodome, Senser's had its fifth busiest day in its 25 year history in Roseville, said general manager Tom Horwath.

Senser's business was up about 60 percent compared with a regular football Sunday, Horwath said. That translated into the restaurant selling more than 1,000 wings and 300 burgers and serving some 3,500 drinks over the course of the day, he said.

"We expect to be even busier this Saturday," Horwath said.

Besides its long-standing reputation as a stronghold for the purple and gold, Senser's boasts several big-screen HD TVs that are a whopping five by nine feet, perfect for football viewing.

A special drink at Senser's for Saturday night will be purple Long Island Iced Teas.

Meanwhile, officials for Grumpy's Bar and Grill and Old Chicago  said they are also expecting big football crowds.

"We are expecting to be really busy," said a Grumpy's official. Customers will be served on a first-come basis and reservations will not be taken she said.

A special on Grumpy's menu will be a Tailgate Platter, including mini-burgers and corn dogs for $8.95

At Old Chicago, manager Scott Menders said he expects sales today (Saturday) to be up about 10 percent from a regular Saturday. The football game will be a boost for restaurant business which usually drops off after the end of the busy holiday season, he said.

Happy hour starts at 9 p.m. and Old Chicago's specials then will include half-priced appetizers.

Two other Roseville restaurants that have viewing for football are Applebee's and Ol' Mexico.
