Make a Whimsical Fairy House—Plus Accessories

Thursdays, January 10 and 17, (2 session class). Pre-register by January 3. 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

$35 for Minnesota State Horticultural Society (MSHS) members, $40 for nonmembers

Create your own unique whimsical fairy house to tuck into your garden. The house, complete with chimneys and doors, will be made from cement with stones and moss and other natural elements. Your finished project will be 8 to 12" tall, with a closed roof or an open top to put a plant in it. You will also make pathways and bridges to accessorize your fairy house.

All materials are supplied, but you may want to bring interesting old hardware like a skeleton key, old window latches or door knobs and other trinkets to embellish your house. You will add finishing touches to your fairy house, paint it if you choose, and take it home on Thursday, January 17.

Instructors: Sally Lehn and Charlie Johnson of "Garden Treasures". Together they have six years of experience teaching and creating all kinds of treasures for your garden.

Register by phone or online: 651-643-3601 / 1-800-676-6747, www.northerngardener.org/classes.
