NYFS’ 2012 Leadership Luncheon Set for May 2
We are pleased to announce that 5 Eyewitness News Chief Political Reporter Tom Hauser will be the featured speaker at the 2012 Northwest Youth & Family Services Leadership Luncheon. His topic will be “The 2012 Elections”.
Tom started at 5 Eyewitness News in 1992 and has covered the law enforcement and political beats. He currently hosts the "At Issue" public affairs program on Sunday mornings. He has earned a number of awards for news reporting, including Emmy awards for his coverage of the plane crash of Senator Paul Wellstone and for stories that helped solve the 1970 murder of St. Paul Police Officer Jim Sackett. In 2007, he was also honored with the St. Paul Police Department "Chief's Award", one of the highest civilian honors in the department, for his reporting on the Sackett case. Tom has received three Emmy Awards for "At Issue" as the Best Public Affairs Program.
The luncheon will be held Wednesday, May 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Midland Hills Country Club in Roseville. There is no cost to attend. Participants will be encouraged to support the work of NYFS through a tax-deductible contribution.
