A peculiar, odd looking fellow will be making a guest visit today (Friday) to Rosedale Center
And then, he will be pretty much ensconsed at the mall until late December. That jolly old guy:Santa Claus.
Yes, Santa Claus is coming to town. And firefighters from Roseville Fire Department will be escorting Santa via a bright shiny red fire truck at about 8:30 a.m. today to make sure he arrives safely at the Roseville mall.

Santa's itinerary on Friday morning will have him begin at the Big Bowl restaurant, make a loop around the mall and end at Granite City, according to city officials. Afterwards, Santa will head into the mall at 8:45 a.m. for visits and photos.
Rosedale officials said Santa's hours (from Nov. 9 through Dec. 14) will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, Santa will be at the mall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

However, Santa will take an hour break from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m Mondays through Saturdays and from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
While the Santa's arrival at Rosedale may seem early (given he is appearing a couple weeks before Thanksgiving) he has shown up even earlier in some places. For example, Santa arrived on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Maplewood Mall.
