Memorial Service Today for Russell Hendrickson of Roseville

Hendrickson had a love of golf and recently won a Retired Rascals tournament.

Russell Hendrickson, 69, of Roseville, MN passed away on March 20 in Hinkley, MN.

He was born at home in Cherry, MN. He graduated from Cherry High School where he participated in many sports. After graduation, he moved to the Twin Cities where he lived most of his life.

He played softball after high school, and was a very accomplished bowler. He also had a great love of golf, and recently won a Retired Rascals tournament.

Memorial service will be held at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel (1385 - 107th Ave. NE) at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 27) with visitation one hour prior.

Hendrickson is survived by his daughter, Liana (Hendrickson) Torres, son-in-law Michael Torres and granddaughter Jazlyn Torres of West Sacramento; his grandson L. Cpl Anthony Hendrickson, USMC currently stationed in Afghanistan; a sister Jean Peterka of Galesburg, Il.; 5 nieces and one nephew and several wonderful cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Elsie (Sormula) Hendrickson; father Ralph Hendrickson; brother-in-law Marvin Hautala; sister Naomi Hautala; and nephew Neil Hautala.

Memorials preferred in his name can be made to Tubman's Chrysalis Center, a battered women's shelter in Minneapolis, MN.
