Updated:Bank Robbery Tuesday in Roseville

The suspect handed the teller a note demanding money, according to the FBI.

Authorities are searching for a man who robbed the U.S. Bank at  at about 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 14.

The lone suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding cash, according to a release from the FBI. He then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was described as white, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10, with a medium build and weighing 170-180 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a tan short-sleeve shirt with a collar, and sunglasses.

Late Tuesday afternoon, Minneapolis-area FBI representative Kyle Loven said there were no new developments in the case. Asked whether the Roseville bank robbery could be connected to other heists that have occurred in recent weeks in the Twin Cities, Loven said the case was under investigation but, for now, "there are no definite links."

Those with information are asked to contact the FBI at 763-569-8000 or the Roseville Police Department.
