Roseville Fire Department Responds to Fatal House Fire in Shoreview

One person is dead in a New Year's Eve house fire in Shoreview.

Roseville firefighters joined fire departments from three other north metro cities this morning in responding to a Shoreview house fire that killed one person, according to Twin Cities Fire Wire.

Firefighters responded to an 8:30 a.m. call to a one-story home on the 1000 block of Richmond Ct.

“We’ll be out here for a while trying to get into the structure and clear it out to contain the fire,” Lake Johanna Fire Chief Tim Boehlke told Twin Cities Fire Wire.

The home's floors were weakened and its rooms clogged with debris and piles of personal belongings, slowing firefighters down as they tried to navigate through the home.
