Roseville Honors City's Finest for Bravery, Service

City recognized officers for bravery, meritorious service. Several citizens also honored for crime prevention assistance.

For Roseville's finest, it was a time to be recognized for their bravery and exemplary service. 
The city recently held its annual police awards for outstanding law enforcement work. The department also recognized several citizens for their assistance to the Roseville Police.  
The Roseville Police Department handed out Lifesaving Awards to officers Boua Chang and Travis Steinberg.
Another major highlight: Retired Sgt. Greg Levendoski received the Eric Christensen Leadership Award.
"This award is given to an officer who distinguishes him or herself by superior accomplishments or continuing long-term professional involvement using leadership skills, which make a significant contribution to the Roseville Police Department and its law enforcement mission," the city said in a statement. .  
Officers Bryan Anderson and Brady Martin and Sgts. Josh Arneson and Sean Johnson received receive Awards of Merit.
"Awards of Merit are given to officers for outstanding performance of duty under unusual or difficult conditions," the city said. "These acts involve protection of life or property and unusual thoroughness, conscientiousness, determination and initiative.
Unit Citations 
Meanwhile, the department honored 13 officers with Unit Citations for exceptional police work or accomplishments that involve personal danger or adverse conditions.  "This award recognizes teamwork by two or more officers," the city said."    
Receiving Unit Citations were detectives Jamie Baker, Matt Brake, Jen Engh, and Mark Ganley, Sgt. Sean Johnson and officers Grant Dattilo, Kyle Eckert, Jason Gehrman, Matt George, Tom Gray, Brady Martin, Sean Mooney and Erin Reski.
In addition, 13 officers received Traffic Wings for their efforts in accident reduction through traffic enforcement.  They were Joe Adams, Al Blanshan, Lacey Blizek, Grant Dattilo, Jason Gehrman, Tom Gray, Mike Holtmeier, Kevin Johnson, Dennis Kim, Nick Olson, Mike Parkos and Travis Steinberg and Lt. Lorne Rosand.
