City: Forecast for More Snow Means Motorists Should Take Heed

Parking on the streets could lead you getting ticketed.

Editor's note: The following news item comes from the city of Roseville in its weekly email newsletter:

"Another snowfall is predicted for this weekend. Take action so you are not ticketed or towed.

Each snowfall, even a dusting of flakes, can cause traffic problems, so it is important that everyone does their part to keep traffic moving. The City of Roseville reminds residents and visitors, if two or more inches of snow is predicted, do not park on the street.

Roseville does not declare snow emergencies. Instead, crews plow streets as soon as two or more inches of continuous snow has accumulated. Depending on the amount of snowfall, the City may need to complete more than one pass to clear the streets. Please DO NOT park on the street until the snow has ended and your street has been plowed "curb-to-curb."

Vehicles may be ticketed and towed if parked on the street. The fine is $25 plus towing and impounding costs. Roseville’s Snow and Ice Control Policy sets plowing priorities and guidelines.
