The Roseville City Council on Monday night held its inaugural meeting of meeeting of 2013 with two new members, Jason Etten and Lisa Laliberte, taking office.
And for Etten and Laliberte their swearing-in ceremony was a family affair. Etten's son Tommy had his father recite to him the oath of office while Laliberte's son Blake conducted her oath.
To a packed audience of friends and supporters, the two new council members said they are looking forward to serving on the council.
"I pledge to work for the whole city of Roseville," Etten said.
Meanwhile, Laliberte gave a special thanks "to my parents and siblings who always set a good example."
Laiberte and Etten led a field of four candidates to win election in November to the council. Incumbents Jeff Johnson and Tammy Pust did not seek re-election.
