Roseville Council Budget Meetings Set For Tonight and Thursday

Budget needs for parks, public works and finance departments will be discussed first.

The Roseville City Council has scheduled two informational meetings this week as it works toward developing the 2014 municipal budget. 

The Council, as a part of its regular meeting, will hear reports tonight (Monday) from the finance, public works and parks and recreation departments on operational issues that will affect their proposed budget requests. 

Tonight's meeting starts at 6 p.m. with the department budget discussions expected to begin at about 7:30 p.m.

Then, the Council is scheduled to hold the second budget discussion at 5 p.m. on Thursday (July 18) and hear reports from the police, fire, community development and administration departments. 

Following the special budget meetings, the Council is expected to give guidance to acting city manager Pat Trudgeon in drafting a recommended budget. The issue is expected to come back to the Council for further review in August.

In a weekly email update, the city said, "Residents are encouraged to attend the meetings at Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive. You can also watch on www.cityofroseville.com/webstreaming or on Cable Channel 16. Comcast offers free Universal Service that includes Channel 16. .
