Roseville Council Vote on Utility Rates Set Tonight

The Roseville City Council is expected tonight (Monday, Dec. 10) to vote on setting 2013 utility rates for water, sewer and recycling services.

In a memo to the Council, City Manager Bill Malinen said, "Staff is recommending a rate increase for all utility rate categories except for the storm water rates which were sufficiently increased in 2012.  With these suggested rate changes, a typical single-family home will pay $165.35 per quarter, an increase of $18.02 or 12.2 percent."

Prior to the meeting, the city will hold a reception at 5:15 p.m. for outgoing council members Jeff Johnson and Tammy Pust. They are retiring from the Council at the end of December as neither one ran for re-election last month.

Pust has been on the Council since January 2006; Johnson has served on the City Council since January 2009.
