Roseville is offering a crash course in city governance. Residents become the students and staff become the teachers.

The seven weeks of free classes will meet every other Thursday beginning Feb.  28 and go through to May 23. Classes meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at different locations within the City.

We offer interactive, fun and informative sessions that provide a behind-the-scenes look at local city government. Roseville U features presentations and field trips with the Administration, Parks & Recreation, Public Works, Police, Fire, Community Development and Finance departments.

Participants have been enthusiastic about Roseville U. One participant said the classes were “very informative – great presentation. All Roseville residents should attend!” while another wished the classes were longer. “Tons of good information and well presented.  Only quibble – ran out of time.”

The City benefits from these classes too. We see participants who are more involved in city governance and who encourage friends and neighbors to get involved. This enthusiasm helps build a more involved community.
