For Now a Raider; Next Year She's a Gopher

Roseville girls' hockey star commits to play for University of Minnesota

On Wednesday, national signing day for high school athletes; Roseville girls hockey star Kate Flug inked a letter-of-intent to play for a college not that far from home: the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis campus.

In committing to the U, Flug will join a couple of her high school teammates from last year, Lee Stecklein and Bethany Brauson, who are playing colllege hockey there. All three girls played on the Roseville Raiders team last year that advanced all the way to the state Class AA girls hockey final.
