Update: Roseville Girls Volleyball Win State AAA Consolation Championship

Roseville Raiders defeat Bemidji High School in four-set match.

The Roseville High School girls volleyball team today defeated Bemidji High School to win the consolation (fifth place) championship at the state Class AAA tournament. 

The Raiders victory came in a four-set match with Roseville winning the first two sets 25-16 and 25-18, dropping the third one 26-24 and then rebounding in the fourth, 25-20 to seal the victory

The The day after losing a heart-breaking first-round match at the state Class AAA volleyball tournament, the Roseville girls volleyball team today (Friday) defeated Anoka High School to advance to the consolation championship.

The Raiders defeated Anoka in a four-set match, dropping the first set 25-17, then winning the next three-25-18,25-18 and 25-19.

Roseville is now scheduled Saturday (Nov. 10) to face Bemidji High School for the consoldation championship. All tournament play has been taking place at the Xcel Energy Center in downtown St. Paul..

The day before (Thursday) the Raiders lost to Shakopee High School in a five-set match in the opening round.

Roseville dropped the fifth and deciding set 15-13 after rallying 25-17 to take the fourth set.

Shakopee took the first set 26-24, dropped the second set 25-11, then won the third set 25-19. To see the full report, click on to this Patch story.
