Roseville High School Wins The Battle of the Raiders

Roseville's win was its first victory over Cretin-Derham Hall since that school joined the Suburban East Conference in 2005.

In the battle of the Raiders Thursday night, Roseville Area High School  (RAHS) football team topped Cretin-Derham Hall 15 to 12.

With game-time temperatures hovering in the low 90s, Roseville scored two touchdowns on pass plays from senior quarterback Jacques Perra, according to the Star Tribune.  The second strike, late in the third quarter, propelled Roseville to its ultimate 15-12 win.

Both schools' nickname is the Raiders. Roseville's surprising win amazed Perra. "Unbelieveable,” he said. Roseville held on for the win with spirited defensive play in the fourth quarter.
