Roseville Wins High School Mountain Biking Championship

The team finished first in the Minnesota High School Cycling League this year.

The Roseville Area Composite team pedaled away with this year’s Minnesota High School Cycling League championship.

The mountain biking team tallied 10,200 points over five races, the last of which took place Sunday in Mankato. The total was good enough to beat runner-up Rochester Composite by 120 points.

Roseville had three boys in the varsity top 10. Ethan Furois came in second with 2,143 points. Colin Catlin was third with 2,082 points. And Logan Schlough was sixth with 1,986 points.

In the girls’ competition, Kelly Catlin placed fifth with 1,150 points.

An awards party is scheduled for Saturday.
