Roseville’s Perra Recognized With Football Honors

The quarterback is winning praise for helping the Raiders to their 'greatest season ever.'

Roseville quarterback Jacques Perra will have to find some extra space on his mantel; he’s being recognized with several awards as the post season winds down.

The Pioneer Press selected Perra as its East Metro Player of the Year, and the Star Tribune picked him as its Metro Player of the Year. He’s also been named as one of ten finalists for the 2013 Mr. Football Award, which will be presented Dec. 8. In addition, he was named the leading quarterback on the KARE 11 All-Metro Football Team.

Perra led Roseville to a 10-2 season—which the Star Tribune called “Roseville’s greatest season ever.” The Raiders advanced to the state tournament semifinals. Over the course of the season, he completed 61 percent of his passes to give Roseville 3,071 yards, 35 touchdowns and four interceptions, according to the Pioneer Press.
