Roseville Open Houses Today For Nature, Wildlife Rehab Centers

Visitors to get behind-the-scenes look at Wildlife Rehab "hospital."

Submitted by Nancy Robbins, publicity committee volunteer for Harriet Alexander Nature Center

It will be game on for the Harriet Alexander Nature Center and its neighbor the Willdlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville when the two organizations host their annual open houses today, Super Bowl Sunday.

The Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) will hold its open house from 1 to 4 p.m. today (Sunday).
Either come for your first visit or come back to explore the nature center's exhibits and program offerings.  We’re celebrating the Chinese New Year of the Dragon, with crafts, displays, and games.

It's a bit trickier this year, with a mythical creature as the theme, but we'll do our best, starting with the dragons of legend and fantasy. But then we'll explore "real" dragons, such as dragonflies, bearded dragons and Komodo dragons.

The HANC open House is held on the same day as the annual open house at our parking lot neighbor, the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.  The Wildlife Rehabllitation Center open house will be from noon to 4 p.m. This is your only-once-a-year opportunity to peek behind the scenes at this very busy animal "hospital."

The Harriet Alexander Nature Center  an oasis of natural beauty and tranquility, Roseville, is located at 2520 N. Dale Street.

For driving directions or more information call (651) 765-HANC (4262) or go to www.CityofRoseville.com/HANC.
