Our popular Walking Parade and Tree Planting, in honor of Arbor Day and sponsored by Kinderberry Hill, starts around 2:15 p.m., ending with birthday cake for all in attendance.

After 9 a.m, the first 30 families to come in the building can take home a copy of the 2012 Chinook Book, full of lots of great money-saving coupons. In addition to the usual free stuff (reusable tote bags, for instance). You also can enter for a chance at some great stuff like a compost bin or a rain barrel donated by the City of Roseville! One of the infomative exhibits will be a 2012 Prius, courtesty Maplewood Toyota.

The lineup is now also set for the free entertainment: Guitarist Bill Hammond will be on the Amphitheater Stage from 10 a.m. until noon, followed by singer-song writer and guitarist Lonnie Knight who'll entertain from noon until 1 p.m. Glen Elvig and Brent Clark will round out the day with a set from 1 until 2 p.m.

As usual, we’ll be collecting certain items for recycling. You can bring old eyeglasses (Lions), used printer cartridges (Cartridge World) and rigid plastic bottle caps to be recycled by Aveda.

Please do not bring any other plastic items for recycling other than the rigid caps; unacceptable plastic items will be refused at the collection station.

The day's events, including the Pancake Breakfast, is a "Zero Waste Event", with guidance by and thanks to Eureka! Recycling and the city of Roseville. Eureka will have one of their trucks here along with someone to answer questions about recycling materials in Roseville.
