Roseville Seeking Volunteers For Nature Center

Helpers sought on weekly or monthly basis.

The Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC) is seeking  volunteers, 18 years and older, to staff the Nature Center front desk.

Training is provided. Responsibilities include greeting visitors, answering phones, helping with office projects and checking out equipment, among other responsibilities.

Two shifts are available, either 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1 to 4 p.m. Volunteer on a weekly or monthly basis.

The Nature Center is also seeking youth and adult volunteers to help with its Halloween Spook-tacular from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Volunteers are needed to help with the hayride and fire circle, serve refreshments, coordinate crafts, run carnival games and other tasks.

HANC, 2520 North Dale St., is nestled within the borders of Roseville. Its trails meander through 52 acres of marsh, prairie and forest habitats.

The Nature Center's Interpretive Center is free and open to the public  10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Volunteer and staff naturalists offer programs to the public, schools and special interest groups.
