It's fall and that means, in Roseville, booya is back!
The Roseville Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its annual booya fundraiser starting at 11 a.m. today (Sunday, Oct. 6) at VFW Post #7555, 1145 Woodhill Drive.
Booya is a hearty beef, chicken and vegetable soup. Organizers say it will be available in single servings or in quantities. Hot dogs and other food items will also be available. There also will be games for kids.
Proceeds from the booya fundraiser go to firefighters or their families in time of need and to pay for firefighter athletic/fitness programs. Some funds also go to support such programs as the Roseville Area High School lock-in, school safety patrol, Fire Explorers and other programs not funded through taxpayer dollars.
