Roseville municipal course opened Sunday.
After weeks of waiting for the passing of winter snows, Roseville's Cedarholm Golf Course opened Sunday for the 2013 season. "Golf enthusiasts were ecstatic to get the chance to be outside and enjoy the nice temperatures finally,'' said Roxann Maxey, clubhouse manager for the municipal golf course. However Maxey added, "With the extension of winter our course did suffer ice damage on an assortment of greens and tees. The grounds crew have started the recovery process and hope to have the course looking in tip top shape in the upcoming weeks." Cedarholm Golf Course is home to Ladies Leagues M-TH mornings, Senior Leagues Friday mornings and evening leagues which begin this week, just in time for the weather to break, Maxey said.

Eric Kronback said he thought the two explosions were cannons.
When Eric Kronback finished running the Boston Marathon Monday afternoon and 90 minutes later heard two loud booms, the Roseville man thought someone had shot off a ceremonial cannon, as part of the race festivities. It was then that Kronback learned the loud booms he heard had been two bombs exploding. Has anybody else received the following when trying to reply in this thread: "This comment has been rejected." I received this as an immediate response from the Patch site, for a completely innocuous reply to somebody that was me actually agreeing with them and the post contained no foul language or anything that could be interpreted to violate any rules of the site. In fact, the reply came back …   more ›
