West-Bound I-694 Ramp at Lexington Avenue Closing Today

The MnDOT expects to reopen the ramp later this fall.

The Roseville office of the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) said the ramp from Lexington Avenue to westbound I-694 near Roseville is scheduled to close at 9 a.m. today (Monday, May 20) weather permitting. In a press staatment, MnDOT said the closure will enable road construction crews to rebuild the new alignments of westbound I-694 and westbound Highway 10. "Once the ramp is closed, the detour for both Ramsey County Road 96 and Lexington Avenue to reach westbound I-694 will be Lexington Avenue to Victoria Street to westbound I-694," MnDOT officials said. Weekend Shutdown of I-35W Section Will Affect Roseville Motorists

MnDOT officials hoping to minimize traffic headaches from road repairs.

Minnesota's unofficial fifth season, road construction, will be in full force this weekend with a section of Interstate 35W near Roseville closed for maintenance and repairs. In a press statement, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said, "Northbound I-35W between the Minneapolis downtown exits and Highway 280 in Roseville will close at 10 p.m. Friday, May 10.   Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours during the closures. Meanwhile, MnDOT added that the project to reconstruct the Park and Portland Avenue Bridges spanning Interstates 94 and 35W in Minneapolis will require the full closing of southbound I-35W between the Highway 55 and the I-94/35W split, eastbound I-94 between the I-35W/94 split and Highway 55 and …

Reconstruction Update: Closure of Highway 10 Section Near Roseville Delayed Again

Continuing winter weather forces postponement of temporary closing for reconstruction work, DOT says.

The Metropolitan District Office of the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) in Roseville said the closing of Highway 10 and Ramsey County Road 96 has been delayed again for reconstruction because of continuing winter weather. In a press statement Monday, MnDOT  officials said, "Weather permitting, the closure will begin overnight Sunday, April 21 and commuters will find these roadways closed Monday, April 22 for the start of major reconstruction at Highway 10 and Ramsey County Road 96. "The closures are also needed for resurfacing of the Hwy 10 Diagonal between I-694 and I-35W." Editor's Note: The following press release was issued by MnDOT's Metropolitan District office in Roseville: The ramp from eastbound Interstate 694 to Victoria Street in Shoreview reopened to traffic late Sunday night, several months ahead of schedule.  The Minnesota Department of Transportation was able to reopen the ramp as work on the south half of the new Interstate 694 bridge at Island Lake progressed far enough to move equipment located near the ramp. However, the eastbound I-694 ramp to Lexington Avenue on the Arden Hills/Shoreview border closed early Monday (Oct. 15) morning. No right turns will be allowed from the right-turn lanes between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day as crews complete curb work. Editor's Note: The following press release was issued Friday by MnDOT's Metropolitan District office in Roseville: Old Highway 10 in Arden Hills will close overnight beneath Interstate 694 next week as crews place beams for the new eastbound Interstate 694 bridge above it. The road will be closed at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 and will reopen to traffic by 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19. During the same time, eastbound I-694 will be restricted to a single lane at Old Highway 10 during the work. Roseville's Rice Street Road and Bridge Project Resumes

Fall completion still expected.

Construction work on the Rice Street bridge and ramp project at Highway 36 in Roseville has resumed following the end of the Minnesota state government shutdown last week. "There will be paving (this week) on a number of areas including the southeast ramp and County Road B west of Rice Street" said Beth Engum, a project engineer from the St. Paul office of Kimley-Horn Associates which is overseeing the construction. Work on the  $16.5 million Rice Street project-which is being headed up by the Minnesota Department of Transportation- was idled for three weeks when state government shut down due to a budget stalemate between the Minnesota Legislature and Gov.
