The store manager of the Roseville Quizno’s said he foiled a man trying to rob the sandwich shop at gunpoint by running into the parking lot and screaming, “Call 911, call 911.” Roseville police said an armed man attempted to rob the 2339 Fairview Avenue Quizno’s at 11 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. A 24-year-old St. Paul resident, Michael Scott Luedtke, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 31 in connection with the attempted robbery. The store manager, Tom Bui, said he has worked for Quizno’s for eight years. The Roseville Police Department issued the following press release late Monday night regarding the arrest of a St. Paul man for the alleged attempted robbery of a Roseville sandwich shop: "On Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011 at approximately 9:30 p.m. a North St. Paul police officer working a New Year’s Eve Safe and Sober traffic safety campaign arrested 24-year-old St. Paul resident Michael Scott Luedtke for the attempted armed robbery of the Roseville Quizno’s restaurant, 2339 Fairview Ave. N. earlier in the day.
