United Properties anticipates an October completion.
Construction is under way for phase II of the Applewood Pointe of Roseville at Langton Lake senior co-op housing project. United Properties, the project's developer, is adding 41 more co-op homes to Applewood Pointe's existing 48 units, which opened in September, 2011, according to Alex Hall, company vice-president of development. The phase II project will tie into the west end of the existing Applewood Pointe building, he said. Construction for phase II began late last year and is expected to be completed this Octotber. Hall said United Properties has already sold 37 of the 41 new co-op homes. "This is a product that the senior population is really embracing," Hall said. The 80-unit senior living community is located at 2996 Cleveland Ave. N next to United Properties’ current senior housing co-op, Applewood Pointe of Roseville at Langton Lake. Residents began moving into Cherrywood Pointe earlier this month. Cherrywood Pointe includes a wide range of options for residents to choose from, including independent living, assisted living and personalized memory care. Project would serve seniors with acute care needs.
Toti Holdings is proposing to build $6.5 million senior-assisted living project in Roseville, the latest in a number of senior housing proposals to hit the city. White Bear Lake-based Toti wants to build a 44-unit complex at the northwest corner of Larpenteur Avenue and Dale Street under its Suite Living brand. The company said, in a statement that Suite Living focuses on providing specialty care to people with Alzheimer’s/dementia, Parkinson’s disease and those with complicated conditions requiring such things as tube feeding and two person transfers. United Properties has plans for an 80-unit assisted senior living project as part of the Applewood Pointe campus off of Cleveland Avenue south of County Road D.
With one nearby senior housing project under construction and heading for a fall opening, United Properties plans to enter the assisted living residential market in Roseville. United Properties, a Minneapolis-based commercial real estate and development firm, has won preliminary and final plat approval from the Roseville City Council for an 80-unit, three-story development on Cleveland Avenue known as Applewood Pointe of Langton Lake Second Addition. Construction of the assisted living community is scheduled to begin mid-summer 2011 and be completed about a year later, according to United Properties spokeswoman Jessie Folkens.
