For Roseville Bakery, Plenty of Dough on National Donut Day

Doughnuts sold out early today.

It's National Doughnut today and for the Roseville Bakery, business was nearly at a frenzied pace this morning.
"We are just slammed,"  said Amy Ament, owner of the popular pastry and sweet shop at 1147 Larpenteur Ave. in the Lexington Plaza Shopping Center.
Ament told Roseville Patch she was sold out of doughnuts two hours after opening at 6 a.m. today (Friday).  She said individual customers as well as other businesses pulled out the stops for sweet treats.
For example, one business ordered 252 glazed raised doughnuts for its workforce, Ament said.
National Doughnut Day is always the first Friday in June. For further background, click on this story appearing on the Huffington Post.
